Lakeview Pavilion, witnessed.

A wedding film and photography at Lakeview Pavilion, made by a team that already knows how this ballroom holds the light off the water.

The doors to the deck open, and the room changes. The cocktail-hour noise softens, the light comes in from the lake through the floor-to-ceiling glass, and for a few minutes the whole ballroom feels like it is leaning toward the water. That is the moment we watch for every time we work here.

To have your Lakeview Pavilion wedding filmed is to be filmed in a building made almost entirely of windows and white, sitting over a quiet lake in the woods of Foxborough, Massachusetts. It is bright, open, and honest about light, which means it rewards a filmmaker who knows how to read it.

We have filmed and photographed couples at Lakeview Pavilion across summer and fall, from September weddings into November. Each one taught us something about the rooms, the decks, and the lake that we carry into the next.

The Space at Lakeview Pavilion: Light, Sound, and What the Building Demands

A ballroom with a century of dancing behind it

The site opened on July 4, 1906 as Lake View Park, a dance hall and dining room that guests reached by trolley. Later it became Lakeview Ballroom, a big-band destination. The Kourtidis family has run it since the late 1980s, led today by sisters Anastasia Tsoumbanos and Natalia Kapourelakos. After a fire in April 2014, they rebuilt from the ground up, and the new Lakeview Pavilion opened in 2015: two ballrooms, each with its own entrance and private deck over the lake.

What the light actually does here

Both ballrooms have cathedral ceilings and floor-to-ceiling windows, so daylight carries deep into the room instead of stopping at the front tables. For a film, that means toasts and parent dances can be lit by the day itself, soft and even, without the flat look of added lighting.

After dark the room changes character. Crystal chandeliers and white walls take over, and the warmth of the evening has to be read and balanced as you film, not fixed later in the edit.

The decks, the courtyard, and the sound of the water

Each ballroom opens onto its own outdoor space over the lake. The larger Lakeview Ballroom has a courtyard and gazebo; the Lakeside Ballroom has a waterfront terrace. These are where ceremonies happen, where cocktail hour spills outside, and where portraits are made. A film that opens on that water, with a few seconds of wind and distant voices before the music comes in, is a film only this venue can give you.

Two ballrooms, two kinds of wedding

The signature of Lakeview Pavilion is that it is really two venues under one roof. The Lakeview Ballroom holds up to 325 guests for a big, full-dance-floor celebration. The Lakeside Ballroom holds up to 160 for something more intimate. Each has its own cocktail lounge and an all-white bridal suite, so getting-ready footage and the quiet moments before the doors open can be filmed on site.

What makes filming a Lakeview Pavilion wedding different

Lakeview Pavilion is a family-run venue with its own coordinators, and each wedding has its own flow from ceremony to cocktail hour to the grand entrance. A filmmaker there for the first time will spend part of the day working out where the decks connect, where the speakers sit, and when the light over the lake is at its best. A team that has worked these rooms before arrives already knowing, and spends that time watching you instead.

This is also a venue where photography and cinema work together. The white rooms and big windows give stills a clean, airy look, and the same light gives the film depth. Having one team cover both means one timeline, one plan for golden hour on the deck, and one set of eyes on the day. That's how we approach every Lakeview Pavilion wedding.

Questions Couples Ask About a Lakeview Pavilion Wedding

Who films weddings at Lakeview Pavilion?

New England Wedding Film has filmed and photographed several couples at Lakeview Pavilion in Foxborough. We know both ballrooms, the decks, and the ceremony spaces by the lake, so we plan around them before the day starts.

Do you offer Lakeview Pavilion wedding videography and photography?

Yes. We offer wedding films, photography, or both together. Many of our Lakeview Pavilion couples booked one team for both, which keeps the timeline simple and the look of the photos and film consistent.

How many guests does Lakeview Pavilion hold?

According to the venue, the Lakeview Ballroom holds up to 325 guests and the Lakeside Ballroom up to 160. That gives couples a choice between a large celebration and a more intimate Lakeview Pavilion wedding.

Can you have an outdoor ceremony at Lakeview Pavilion?

Yes. Ceremonies can be held outdoors by the lake, at the Lakeview Ballroom's courtyard and gazebo or on the Lakeside Ballroom's waterfront terrace. Check rain-plan options directly with the venue team when you book.

What is the light like at Lakeview Pavilion?

Bright. Both ballrooms have cathedral ceilings and floor-to-ceiling windows with water views, so daylight fills the room. After dark, chandeliers take over and the room turns warm, which we balance as we film.

Can we get photography and video from one studio at Lakeview Pavilion?

Yes. One team for photo and film means one plan for portraits on the deck, one schedule for golden hour, and fewer vendors to coordinate at your Lakeview Pavilion wedding.

How does the building affect a Lakeview Pavilion wedding film?

The building is mostly glass and white walls, set over water. That gives the film a clean, airy look by day and a warm one at night, and the decks give us natural, quiet spots for the couple's moments together.

Is Lakeview Pavilion difficult to film?

Not for a team that knows it. The main challenge is the shift from bright daylight to chandelier light during the reception. Knowing when that happens at a Lakeview Pavilion wedding lets us plan the key moments around it.

How soon will we see our Lakeview Pavilion wedding film?

Delivery timelines depend on your package. Ask us about current turnaround when you reach out, and we'll lay out exactly what you'll receive and when.
