Your wedding is one day. The vows go fast, the toasts blur, the first look is over before you've had time to hold it. The film is the only seat in the room that sees your face when you turn the corner. New England Wedding Film has directed more than 500 love stories since 2016, from Newport's historic estates to the Berkshires to the Caribbean, led by a filmmaker whose work has appeared on Netflix.
This is not a record of your wedding. It is a record of your wedding for the people who come after you. The film remembers every word spoken, every face that broke at the altar, every moment you were too present to keep. Your photographs hold it still. Together, they are the only heirloom that moves.
Whether you're planning a ceremony at a Boston waterfront hotel, a Newport mansion, a Cape Cod shoreline, or a destination abroad, the work begins with one question: what do you want to hear when you play this back in twenty years?
Serving New England, the USA, and destination weddings worldwide.
Tell us about your day.
New England Wedding Film accepts a select number of film and photography commissions each year.
Not because the calendar fills fast, though it does. Because the work requires it.
If your date is open, there's no better time to reach out than now.
You spent a year building a day that will last twelve hours. The ceremony is over before the nerves settle. The first dance ends before you've stopped shaking. Couples who choose not to film it often put it plainly, looking back: they'd give anything to hear that room again.
New England Wedding Film has worked at Boston's waterfront hotels, Newport's Gilded Age mansions, the hillside barns of the Berkshires, and the sea-glass shoreline of Cape Cod. More than 500 love stories, more than fifty five-star reviews. The studio's films hold the sounds most photographers cannot: the vow whispered under breath, the laugh that broke through tears, the voice of a grandmother who couldn't travel but heard every word anyway.
The photography holds its own standard. From the candid geometry of a Newport portico to the golden-hour portraits on a Cape Cod marsh, every still image is made with the same discipline as the film it accompanies. Film and photography live at equal weight here, not as a bundle but as two crafts brought to bear on a single day.
Based in Massachusetts. Working regularly in Boston, Newport, Cape Cod, and throughout New England, the United States, and internationally.
More than 500 love stories documented. Since 2016.
A wedding at Rosecliff is not the same film as a wedding on Vieques. The light is different, the architecture is different, the air carries different sounds. New England Wedding Film travels to Puerto Rico and the Dominican Republic with the same preparation brought to every New England estate: a pre-film conversation about what matters, a read of the location's light in the weeks before, and the commitment that the day will be witnessed, not simply documented.
For couples who want their day held in still images as completely as on film, the photography commission travels too. Whether the backdrop is a Punta Cana resort, a colonial cathedral in Santo Domingo, or a cliffside ceremony in Rincon, the photographs are made to live beside the film as equals, not to illustrate it.
Beyond weddings, New England Wedding Film also accepts engagement sessions, elopement photography, and portrait commissions. These are not add-ons. An engagement session is often where the day's story actually begins.
